Collection or courier delivery of purchases

Collection

When buying items from me you are welcome to collect them in person. I am based in the Chingford (E4 postcode) area of London at the borders of London and Essex - less than 5 minutes from the A406 (North Circular) and the M11 motorway.

When collecting items I advise you to keep your vehicle as empty as possible and to bring suitable wrapping/padding materials to protect your items on the journey home. Old blankets or duvets are normally suitable.

Courier delivery

If you are unable to collect in person then you will need to arrange your own courier collection, or I can connect you with two reasonably priced couriers who previous buyers have used - they will transact with and take payment from you directly.

Courier 1 does "flexible deliveries". This means that they collect items from me, blanket and plastic-wrap them, and then place them in storage until they have sufficient deliveries to justify sending a van to your area - at which point they call you to confirm a delivery date. This flexibility makes them much cheaper. They commit to delivering within 14 days of collection, however previous deliveries have actually been quicker than this.

Courier 2 collects and delivers items on the same, mutually pre-agreed, day. He charges £20 per hour with a minimum of two hours, or for journeys significantly beyond the M25 he charges £1 per mile.
